Houston's First is a thriving and diverse community of real people experiencing real life together. Sundays are a time where we gather together to grow and give of what we have, but our lives consist of much more than attending church on Sunday. We want to be the church every day of the week. - See more at: http://houstonsfirst.org/start-here/welcome/#sthash.98eHpo6m.dpuf

I first attended HFBC as a teenager with my mother, but never got involved enough to make it our home church. After college and as an adult I moved back to Houston in 2008 and began seeking a church to attend. I knew after hearing Pastor Gregg Matte preach, this was the church for me. I began to pray for financial peace and for a wife. Within a few months God guided me towards Keller Williams Realty and began growing my business exponentially. A few months later I met my wife, which we have been married now for over 2 years. Through HFBC I've connected with a relevant, biblical community and God has changed my life...

I have been a member of Houston's First Baptist Church since 1973. It is a Bible believing and teaching church supporting missions world-wide.

I have attended Houston's First Baptist Church since 1997. I love my church!! Our Pastor Gregg is down to earth, an amazing shepherd, has a genuine growing faith in our Lord, preaches exegetically challenging his flock in growth, and he's funny too. A large church with a small church feel.

We can help you build a house or building, but only God can help you build your home and life. Concrete and wood constructions will only last years, but the friendships we build in the process will last for eternity.

The oldest church in Houston, is now lead by a young Aggie that is keeping Christ the focus point. Except during football season, I still think be bias even though he does not show it. Our pastor continues to push us to grow in Christ with the facts and no fluff.

I have been a member of Houston's First Baptist Church since 1989. I love my church, my Sunday School class of wonderful ladies in Dayspring and have recently joined the choir. Participating in the annual Christmas production as a part of the choir...well, you just don't want to miss it at Christmastime, you will be blessed!

Houston's First Baptist has given my family a home. My husband and I started attending the church in college, as we dated, and have loved it ever since. Through pre-marital counceling and the availability of numerous bible studies, along with mission opportunities, we have formed relationships that will last a lifetime. We love this church!
